Bill Otten, President of William L. Otten & Associates, Inc., graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Economics. Since forming his company in 1975, he has helped many dentists buy or sell practices and helped structure associateships and group practices.

Over the years he has valued dental practices in places as far away as Alaska but mainly in the Midwest - especially in Missouri and Illinois. In addition to the coveted Enrolled Agent (E.A.) designation, he is also an Accredited Tax Advisor (A.T.A.) and a Certified Financial Planner (C.F.P.).

He is the author of Business Basics for Dentists and A Dentist's Guide to Financial Planning. He has written over 50 articles on practice management and has lectured on practice management topics in Vail, Colorado, Chicago, Illinois and many places in the St. Louis and Metro-East area.

Bill has served on the Board of Directors of hospitals in St. Louis and Pinellas Park, Florida as well as the Business Board of Heritage Bank in St. Louis County. He teaches practice management topics to dental students at the S.I.U. Dental School in Alton, Illinois and maintains contact with many recent graduates.
